An Atlanta native, Bennett Brown developed his passion for entertaining at a very young age, inspired by his parents, both proud South Carolinians at heart. Naturally, their LowCountry heritage rubbed off on Bennett through a love of cooking and a deep commitment to hospitality. His insatiable desire to learn how to prepare his family’s favorite dishes became the catalyst for opening his own catering company in 1986.

Bennett is gregarious by nature and undeniably a people person. His larger-than-life personality, contagious kindness, and unwavering commitment to hospitality shaped the foundation of LowCountry and continue to influence the company culture today. Over four decades, he built lasting relationships with customers, vendors, and employees while growing the business from Atlanta’s first full-service barbecue catering company into the hospitality organization it is today.

After dedicating his career to serving others and building the company’s reputation for exceptional food and genuine hospitality, Bennett has retired and passed the torch to the next generation. His daughter, Jessica Brown, now serves as President of LowCountry Catering after years spent working alongside her father and learning the business from the ground up. Bennett’s son, Bennett IV, is also part of the family business, serving as an Event Specialist and working directly with clients to bring their events to life.

Together, Jessica and Bennett IV carry forward the values, relationships, and commitment to excellence their father established. While a new generation is helping shape LowCountry’s future, the heart of the company remains exactly the same.
